Vitamin D Health (25-Hydroxy) Test

You can now proactively monitor your Vitamin D levels and have your sample collected at a LifeLabs location without needing to visit a doctor’s clinic.

About Vitamin D Health (25-Hydroxy) Testing

The Vitamin D Health (25-Hydroxy) Test is designed for individuals who want to proactively monitor their Vitamin D levels without needing a doctor's visit. This self-initiated test can help detect potential Vitamin D deficiency, which is common in up to one-third of Canadians and is linked to poor bone health. Vitamin D is produced by your body when exposed to sunlight and is found naturally in limited food sources. This convenient blood test allows you to take charge of your health easily.

Who is this test for?

The test is for anyone who wants to know their Vitamin D levels or is at risk of developing Vitamin D deficiency. It can indicate nutrition disorders, bone disease or other metabolic issues.

What is this test used for?

The Vitamin D Health (25-Hydroxy) Test is a simple blood test and the most accurate way to monitor your Vitamin D (25-Hydroxy) levels. It measures the amount of Vitamin D in your blood, providing a reliable indication of your Vitamin D status, assessing deficiency risk, and establishing a baseline for ongoing monitoring.
