Who is this test for?

This test can provide insight into whether you developed antibodies from a COVID-19 vaccination or a previous infection. This test is particularly helpful for individuals who are immunocompromised or if an COVID-19 infection was suspected but not confirmed through a PCR Test. The COVID-19 Antibody Test is most accurate when a sample is collected 3-4 weeks after onset of COVID-19 symptoms or post-vaccination. There is no need to visit your healthcare provider as this test comes with a pre-signed requisition form provided by LifeLabs®.

 

What is this test used for?

The COVID-19 Antibody Test is a blood test that detects antibodies to the COVID-19 virus. Results can confirm the presence of COVID-19 antibodies generated from an immune response to a recent infection and/or vaccination. The test is not used for diagnosis of an active COVID-19 infection and does not meet travel testing requirements.
